Frederick Booty was an artist, and produced the first illustrated stamp catalogue in 1862, the quaint and lovingly hand-drawn The Stamp Collectors Guide: Being a List of English and Foreign Postage Stamps with 200 Fac-simile Drawings. He was based at Brighton, in England.
