- Summary
Stories of finds, even the possibilities of finds, and musings on stamp hunting would always fill the columns of the philatelic press, but they were very common in the lean 'Post Office' years (1905-17). James Bonar's find of an unused two pence 'Post Office' stamp and the subsequent price it fetched were usually trotted out as an encouragement.
