The Post Paid stamps (in denominations of one penny, printed in red, and two pence, printed in blue) succeded the Post Office issue in 1848. They were produced by Joseph Osmond Barnard, engraver of the Post Office stamps. They are also considered very rare and valuable, and feature an error. One of the 12 two pence Post Paid stamps engraved bears the word PENOE instead of PENCE.
